“The Magic of Jason Purdy” offers a self-contained “one-man” act or larger-scale magic/ illusion shows with special effects, sound, lighting, and assistant(s). For special events, we can work together with you, incorporating your event theme into the presentation; making it possible to design a program to meet your specific needs.

One (1)  “Platinum Illusion Package” 45-90 minutes+
$1200.00 and up

After seeing this two person GRAND Illusion show, you will understand what the “buzz” is all about. These shows can feature all the bells and whistles. Live animals! Lighting, Special Effects, Assistant(s) and may feature two or more select Illusions “Crystal Vision”, “C Thru U” (a modern version of cutting a lady in half), “Metamorphosis” (Houdini’s famous trunk illusion!) and more!

One (1) “Gold Package” 45-60 minutes
1 performance: $750.00-950.00

Go for the Gold! This is our most popular program. This is not your “typical” magic presentation! This two person, comedy/magic show, features an assistant, live animals, larger more technically advanced effects, plenty of audience participation, comedy magic and Grand Illusion! The ending of this show has really left its mark on many audiences. You won’t be disappointed!

1 performance: $450.00-$650.00

Don’t let name scare you this is not your Basic magic presentation! This is a compact, one man show however and is limited with respect to some of the larger scale Illusions. This is an engaging program full of audience participation, magic, comedy and mind-reading. These shows are custom-tailored to your event needs, time restraints and budget.

Unlike some performers who are hobbyist or part-time entertainers, Jason is a full-time professional entertainment specialist. What does this mean to you? It means you will receive a polished, professional program that has appeal for all ages. The great flexibility of magic permits arranging programs of any length, from ten minutes, to an entire Grand Illusion performance. For extra special events, we can work together with you, incorporating your event theme into the presentation, making it possible to design a program to meet your “specific needs”.

From intimate summer reading programs to educational magic workshops to full Grand illusion shows, that can feature professional Sound, Grand Illusions, Assistant(s), special effect lighting and theatrical effects. All shows are age/audience appropriate and include many audience participation effects. I pride myself on my excellent reputation for quality, reliability, and service. OUR NEEDS:

We require a 25% deposit to hold your date. We would also need access to the performance area a minimum of 45 minutes to 1 hour+ (depending on the type of show) prior to the show. We usually need about the same after the event for strike and load out.

I do try to keep the technical side of things as simple as possible. My shows are flexible and are designed to be able to play many types of venues. Again, we offer a virtually self-contained show. This can include professional sound system, microphone, assistant(s), lighting and special effects. We have a $2500.00 computer system that runs sound and special effects lighting. However when house lighting and sound are available it is considered as an option (Providing it has sufficient power and inputs etc.) So my equipment will supplement any existing equipment and whatever sound and lighting capabilities you have.

Stage Setting: A clean, clear performance area is appreciated. While a stage is preferred, we can work on the floor. Please try to have approx. a 16’W X 8’D (minimum) performing area available, (Prior to Artists arrival.)

As a general rule I do limit my outdoor performances. There are so many factors that have helped make this decision. The most obvious factor is the weather. I have many thousands of dollars invested in illusions, props and sound equipment. Many of these things are not designed for rain, wind, sun etc. Outdoor shows are limited do to set up time, sightlines, electricity, stages, curtains… This list is long. However, as we have discussed, a sturdy platform/staging and tent (with walls) does assist in presenting the best show possible.

We realize certain budget restraints and technical compromises will, at times, have to be made, and we will be as flexible as reasonably possible. We do appreciate your efforts, and want to thank you for helping us present the best show possible.
